IE8 will default to the most standards compliant HTML interpreter

Just to let you guys know… Dean Hachamovitch, general manager for the IE team, just announced that IE8, regardless of earlier statements, will render web content the most standards compliant way by default. This statement, along with the ACID2 compliance achievement, is a clear indication of the IE teams recent increased focus on standards compliance. I wholeheartedly welcome this change in Microsoft’s policy for interoperability.
